Two Hitachi VM-129 12" Video Monitors B&W CRT in Aberdeen, Aberdeen City for sale

Photo & Cameras

I have two of these (Black & White) monitors for sale, together or separately (£25 each plus carriage and packing). They have a diagonal screen size of 11.5 inches. They were used to view and photograph composite video images from a video camera on a microscope. They could be ideal for a video security system (black & white images). Their overall dimensions are about 12 1/2 inches wide, 11 3/4 inches from the top of the handle to the surface beneath it and 13 3/8 inches front to back including rear sockets and front knobs. The weight of each monitor is 10 kg, including mains lead and plug (supplied). They could be collected in person (preferred), or Carriage by ParcelForce (Large Package) within the UK would be £14 each. These monitors were last used around 1992, apart from recent testing. Probably, they have had no more than about 400 hours of use. Both are in good clean condition and produce a good 700 x 350 lines black and white picture depending on the video source (slight Moire fringing sometimes appears if they are connected directly to a Canon SX200 camera at 400 ASA in ordinary tungsten room-lighting). The front panel has a mains on/off switch, a mains-on pilot lamp, a Vertical-hold control to adjust vertical sync (upward or downward picture roll), a Horizontal-hold control (to correct left or right picture-roll), a Brightness control and a Contrast control. There is one original instruction book and one photocopy of it. According to the instruction booklet, 'E/K' indicates 'Universal mains input' 100/117/220/240 volts AC at 50 Hz (these monitors have been used on 240 volts AC only). The picture tubes are described as '12 inch, 90 degrees deflection, 310FRB4 or equivalent'. Scan standard is '625/50 fields/sec'. The deflection linearity is 'within 2%'. EHT voltage is '11kV nominal'. The input impedance is '75 ohms or high impedance looping through, switch selectable'. DC restoration is 'switch selectable (internal)'. There is a mains lead and a UHF to BNC cable with each monitor. Adapter plugs to convert the UHF input and output sockets at the rear to BNC sockets and from BNC to phono may be obtained from, e.g., MAPLIN.
